Kempton Park could be turned into 3,000 homes

Nearby racecourse Kempton Park could be turned into 3,000 homes if plans are approved by Spelthorne Borough Council.

The proposal, outlined by the Jockey Club who owns Kempton Park, could see the racecourse closed from 2021 and turned into 3,000 homes to help meet growing demand and ease the local housing crisis.

With the revenue generated from redevelopment, The Jockey Club then intends to “unlock the potential of Sandown Park less than six miles away, and the building of a new all-weather racecourse, most likely at Newmarket”

These proposals are in their very early stages, and for the time being, nothing will change at Kempton Park with racing and others events held at the venue continuing as normal.
