Lloyds Bank have decided that Hampton’s branch on Wensleydale Road will close in July following a review of all of their branches.
According to Lloyds Bank, the number of customers using the counters inside the branch has fallen 9% within the past year with only 13 customers using the branch on a regular weekly basis, however 273 customers are recorded as using the branch monthly.
A Lloyds Bank statement on the closure said;
Following a careful review, Hampton branch will close on 25 July 2019. We have made the difficult decision to close this branch because customers are using it less often. In addition the majority of customers are also using alternative ways to bank.
The decision is based on a variety of factors, including how customers are choosing to bank with Lloyds, how often customers use this particular branch and how that usage is changing, as well as other nearby branches and banking services (such as other cash machines) and transport links to them.
The closest branches after the closure will be the Lloyds Bank in Twickenham and Kingston. Other nearby cash machines are at Everyday’s on Milton Road and at the Little Waitrose.
