Images offering a glimpse at the new look pub at Hampton Square have been released.
Following a devastating fire last July, the Hampton Pub has been undergoing a complete refurbishment and rebuild of the upper floor since late 2017.
Proposals include a new name, The Wellington Ale House, to “give the pub a fresh feel”, and retaining the great food reputation The Hampton pub was known for.
The refurbishment will retain the three distinctive areas inside the pub, with the main bar featuring stools along the bar and sofas to create a comfortable drinking space. A games area will still house a pool table and darts board providing a place to unwind, and the restaurant area will have seating for up to 40 diners featuring leather dining chairs and wooden tables.
The pub is currently looking for a new publican who will give their own personal investment of time, effort and skills to realise the pub’s full potential.
Ei Group, the pub operator and investor, have over 4,500 pubs, each a small retail business in its own right, run by its own publican, employing local people and supporting local suppliers and the local economy.
